Ok i got the headers and downpipe on. I am getten ready to order the new exhaust. I thought i would rebuild the engine with higher compression for now and then build a turbo engine for later, but now to the question. I read the post about 12:1 comp. How hard would it be for me to keep my engine up with that comp? And should i go ahead with the 10:5 comp.

Neat.

Hard enough to not go through it ½ hazard.

Actually .... not necessarily. You can run a turbo with high compression. Most guys don't, but you can. And you actually get more power for the boost. Meaning, at lower levels of boost your making more HP. Most guys run low comp. b/c then they can run high boost and it's much cooler to say 15lbs than 8lbs. Talk to Metal Jim about this ... he has all the nitty gritty details to this.

the 420a has enuff problems at stock compression....lower the compression if u wanna get more power outta the bish but doin both wouldn't be a great idea!!

The 10:5 was just temp. untill i had enough money for a turbo. I just wanted a lil more power untill i got the turbo, but if it really does have problems with the compression now then i dont want to go any higher. Im not going to turbo it at 10:5. I was just going to get new pistons when i turbo...Maybe even find a new motor, but if you have any more info it would be great. And thanks for all the help.

That would be such a waste of money to get pistons now, and then another set of pistons later. Don't do that. Please don't. You can wisely spend the money on turbo supporting mods. Just wait till you can afford the turbo is my suggestion.

Is there any mods that would give me a good bit more power and not hinder me later on with the turbo? Anything would be nice. I could do the turbo in like 2 weeks but i want to do it right. So im goin to wait a lil longer. Thanks
