7735, what would happen if...
Posted by Twiste, Nov-20-01 07:59 AM
...I put a Turbo exhaust on my non-turbo eclipse. I mean really. Would it hurt the engine in any way? We can put the Turbo exhaust from a GS-T on our cars and it wont hurt it. If i am wrong tell me.

It won't hurt anything at all. Most consider it a good, inexpensive upgrade. All you really need is the muffler, however - the GST/TSI catback is exactly the same as ours.

right but places like Howellautomotive sell like the Thermal catback for turbo and non. I think i would just want to get the turbo and pay the few bucks more. But im gonna buy a new muffler and when i go turbo then I'll get the new cat-back.

I was under the assumption you were talking about stock exhausts.

Don't buy an aftermarket exhaust advertised for a turbo dsm. There may be routing issues if it is installed on your car. AWD exhausts won't fit period, GST exhausts may fit okay, but the only one you're pretty much guranteed fitment with is the same exhaust made for your car.
