77276, Cel AFX ecu help Posted by Pushin420a, Jul-07-04 08:28 PM
Hey guys I installed my AFX ECU about two weeks ago...since then I've had nothing but problems.
I'm not sure if they are related but seem to coincidental.
My problems consist of this, when I try to go my car won't go over 4k in any gear, even neutral.
I'm getting a MAP sensor light, so I change it out. I may have put in a bad Map sensor but I'm not sure I did.
I tried putting my stock ECU back in but it's from a 96 and I have a 97.
Can a guru please tell me that all my reasons is that I'm getting bad MAP sensors and I should try a new one?
This sucks cause the clips is my only car to drive right now since my boy crashed my girls car.
Please help me.
Anyone have a NEW map sensor they wouldn't mind handen to me....I mean I can get you what ever you want.

Lee make sure you are getting 12+ to the map sensor. most likely you are but if not then thats a problem. I do have a spare map but its not new, it works just not new. What is the P code you are getting?

This is what I assume that it's just the MAP....if you dont' mind how much man....since I need it bad, I hope this is my issue.

Focus on getting a known working MAP sensor. I highly doubt the AFX ecu is the cause of your problems.

The only code that I ever saw was that evap leak code.

The MAP sensor is a 5V sensor. You'll never see 12V at it, and if you do, THAT'S a problem.
Replace the map sensor. There's nothing wrong with the ECU.
