Okay, I have to do this myself since I already bought the gasket and three new bolts. How in the hell do I get the muffler off? I'm tlaking about the flange above the axle. I have spent over an hour trying to cut the head off the bolts with a dremel. I already rounded them with an impact wrench so I have to cut them.

someone here mentioned using a dremel before but I don't think mine is working. Can some one lend some advice? These things are like fused together. 80K on the orginal exhaust.

I used a dremel to get mine off. If you don't have one, all I can think of is to use a torch to heat the bolts up ... but then you have to be able to get a grip on them to turn them out. I have used the torch method on my vr4 downpipe and cats.

Mine had 70k on the original exhaust and there was no way I could get them off w/o the dremel.

is it the heads or the nuts that your having trouble with?

You could also buy the but splitters and just buy new ones.

Craftsman also has some nive little sockets that bite into stripped bolts.

You know what I have a set of those craftsman things I totally forgot!!!!

I do have a dremel, a 35K RPM Digital one. Is it easier to dremel out the head or the backside? How did you do it?

try using soap? eheh jk - for my greddy sp i just brought it to the shop for 20bucks and got it installed - couldn't mess up my driveway since its a condo =(
