76769, oil on spark plug
Posted by 99rseclipse, Jun-29-04 03:39 AM
i recently re-gapped my spark plugs, and i found cylinders 1 and 4 , the actual sparkplug tip, that goes into the top of the cylinder, was soaked in oil,. now about a month ago, ijust replaced all the o rings, and the rest of the valvecover gasket,,, so im not sure whats up,, ive never had any proboems before,,,also, it makes a very hessitant putter when i take off.. sounds like its backfiring..it will usually only do this when i am in the lower rpm range...any help on what this might be, or how to fix it would be great!!

blowby/broken or worn piston rings/ valve stems leaking.
all can cause oil on the plug tips
