Well, my car wouldn't start. All it would do is turn over and over and over, but never start. I pulled the plugs and I saw water shooting out of the #2 cylinder! So I pulled the head and can see no visible problem on the head surface or the gasket? What could be wrong here? Is the head warped, crackes somewhere internally, or is the block bad? I checked the oil many times, and it is clean. So no water is getting into the crankcase. I wonder what could be wrong?
By the way, before I took off the head and timing stuff I replaced the cam senser, plug, wires, coil, fuel pump, pcv valve, and battery. It still didn't start. Thats when I pulled the plugs and saw the problem. I aslo did a compression test cold, and it was like 95, 40, 90, 45.

uh, water shot out? did you hydrolock? maybe now you have bent rods. and why do a comp test cold? let it warm up a little bit. take out all your spark plugs, and disconnect your ignition and fuel relays from off the firewall. let the car turn over a few times and make sure water isn't just, "shooting out"

is it coolant or just water?

keep cranking until all the water comes out. then lay some cheesecloth over the effected plug holes (to keep stuff from falling in) and let the engine sit in the sun for a few hours. that should evaporate what compression couldnt get out. reinstall the plugs and pray.

It couldn't have hydrolocked. It hasn't rained here in over a month , and its hot as hell. By the way, my car wouldn't start, so I couldn't do a compression test witht the car warmed up. Someone said the head might be cracked internally, letting coolant and water get into the cylinder. Down here its so hot I run a 95% water, 5% coolant mix. So thats why I never really saw any green stuff shooting out. I did let it dry out on its own, but I soon as I tried turning it over it would just fill up with water again and never start. I think I need a new head.

sounds like you have a hole in your block or something. i'd stop turning it over by now. if you don't have a cai then you definately didn't hydrolock. and if it keeps doin it, i'd pull ur head and check ur cylinder walls. but thats just me.

holy shit man, i have NEVER heard of anyone incurring damage like that! i dont even see how thats possibe...that much coolant leaking into the cylinders is insane.

I pulled the head already and on top off the pistons and a little on the cylinder walls there was some loose rust dust stuff forming, probally from water just sitting there. Nothing I can't clean up. I also forgot to mention, when I had the head still on, I put a vaccum hose right on the spark plug hole and it would suck water into the vaccum. Kinda weird. I, also, personally think the head might be cracked internally. But don't know, because I never heard of this situation happening.

This might sound REALLY bad, but what if you drained your your engine coolant mixture and tried starting it, if only for a few seconds, atleast that way, if it started you would know it was the coolant flooding into the cylinder..I mean, can it really harm your car if you turn it on for a few seconds at idle? You'd still have oil in your engine, so you should be able to run it for like 5 seconds...atleast to hear it ignite, so you know that it will start without the coolant flooding in..

^^^ You know, once I put everything back together I will have to try that. I think that was the best advice yet. Points to you!
I hope my car will work then. But as for now I am having trouble putting the timing belt on. Cause I forgot to put everything on TDC before I took it apart.:-(

Ok, well I am having problems getting the timing lined up. Every time I put the tensioner on it jumps up the gear mnarks. So they are not even. The closest I could get them is 2 gear marks off.;( Well I tried to start the car, and it sounds like its about to start when I first crank it over then it doesn't. It will just crank and crank and crank. But the good news is I am not leaking water into the pistons anymore! So I guess replacing the head gasket and spark plug and valve cover gaskets fixed that problem. But do yall think that the reason the car won't start is because my timing is 2 teeth off and or maybe my plugs are bad because of the water they were sitting in, even though I let the dry out?
Also, if my crank senser went bad, what symptoms would I have?
