76619, 62mm VS 60mm, answer pleez?!

Whats the deal guys.....i had a quick question regardin what TB size to get... well ModernPerformce sells their 60mm TB for $210... but i could get a 62mm Jeep TB for half the price... what im tryin to get at is... is there really a difference??? If the size didnt effect the power... isnt it smarter to get a 62mm for half the price?? or does 60mm actually help more than a 62mm??? since the manifold isnt ported, is 62mm gonna be okay??? or is the extra $100 gonna balance out the installation hassle of a jeep TB......thanks!!! =o)

p.s
when i go to the write-up site, my comp constantly freezes... you guys have this problem too???

i think the answer will lie in you grasshoppa....lol

Depends on what you want....easy or work. the modern will direct fit. the jeep TB will need some modification from what i understand (i dont have one). 62 is a little nicer but you cant use it full benefit till you port the manifold for either TB.

the bigger you go when you are NA, the more you actually use. I believe 55mm is the best to use on an NA car, whereas the larger would benefit forced induction applicattions alot more. I run a 60mm on an unmatched manifold and i liked the results..

I had the MP 60mm when I was NA and umatched mani. and had good results. Now I matched my manifold, but did the turbo at the same time so all I can say is I'm sure it even better. The MP tb is a great design and I would highly recommened it.

if your using a stock manifold-- get the 60mm- and port the manifold, i too have the mp 60mm and like it alot. i dont think there is enough material on the stock manifold to port for 62mm, if im correct you would actually have to add metal to the outside of the manifold to get it that big, or the wall will be suuuuper thin if you dont end up with a hole.

hope this helps
