Wrong section for 4g63 talk my friend. Not many here are going to know specs for a 4g motor anyway. Do you not have a chiltons manual? I do not know much about those motors but I can tell you that there is no way headbolt torque is 14 lbs/ft.

How much was the head milled? If it was milled enough to raise the CR, then you could be experiencing Knock. Some of the local 4g guys have been discussing the affect not having your cam gears degreed in perfectly may have on "phantom knock" also. Just some thoughts for you, but you should really check the 4g63 forum for better answers.

chilton book says loosen to 14lbs i freaked when i saw it. ho wcan this be ? no on ein the 4g63 area will answer me. milling was small i had the head put on before and there was no knock it was the second time taking it off and putting it back on.
