Jesus dude. You join today and your first post is the worst most un researched stupid post you can possibly make. NO THEY WON'T FIT. THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A 4G63 TO 420A PLATFORM SWAP DONE.

NOW GO READ THE VFAQ'S AND USE THE FUCKIN SEARCH BUTTON.

actually there has, but hey.
yes its not worth the money spent, it will cost you more to do the swap than to build up the 420a and boost it

Actually I did the motor swap when i was board a few days back...its pretty easy to install if you have a sawzall and duct tape...the trick is the motor goes in upside down. But when i started the motor the crank jumped out of the motor and walked down the street. So i just pulled that motor out and bought some motor mounts from apc and installed a honda b19a1bb.3 straight from Japan...my car runs 7's...but thats cuase of the chrome muffler bearings i bought.

hey stupids. the swap has been done before. many have failed. but remember the others that succeded. like the avenger that swapped everything out for a awd turbo avenger?

The point tard ass is that it can't be done in a driveway by 3 drunk idiots the same way a honnda engine can be swapped.

yeah, and theyve made a twin engine talon...whats your point? anything is feasable...if you have the cash and knowhow. the question raised here is "is the swap feasable" and the answer to that is no. you can buy a turbo eclipse with a 4g63...you cant BUY an AWD avenger. and i dunno the specefics...but if it was a V6 venge to start out with...im sure the motor mounting business wouldent have been too bad since it had a mitsu engine. never-the-less, its far more economical to just BUY a turbo eclipse than try and swap in an engine. your only making the job harder on yourself..and after you put thousands of dollars into the car...you could have bought a turbo and spent an extra $2k on upgrades and be running 12's...but your stuck with a possibly problematic car which is as slow as a stock GST...then you have to spend MORE money on mods to get where you WOULD have been if you woulda just used your skull and bought teh 4g! maybe if he had an avenger....it would be cool and different..since no avenger made came with a 4g63....but you swap a 4g into a 2gnt...you have yourself a gst...which are readily available...no real origionality there

didn't the duct tape also give you more horsepower? i heard that it's like the secret power mod of all the ricers :shrug

It'll fit easily, but you have to overnight some parts from Japan.

The successful swap was done by Jason Lee. His screen name on asog is 20"rider, jasonlee on asec. He started with a I4 FWD Avenger and is now a 4G63-powered AWD Avenger. The car is still running, he's just working out some tuning issues. I believe the car is his daily driver.

So while it can be done, no one recommends it.

The debate has never been over whether or not it can be done. Anything can be done with enough money, time, and motivation. The question is always over whether or not the swap is WORTH IT. When compared to the price of a 1g AWD, or a 2G turbo these days, it is decidedly not whatever anyone else might think.

Want a 4g63? Buy one.
