I hope Im in the right forum btw, I think so. Anyway my belt was snapping constantly with my tensioner there and at low boost. Now I will be running more boost soon and I've been told that running a smaller belt with no tensioner seems to work pretty well. I was given a part number, belt ho5 k5. I called around parts stores and came up with nothing, I even called chrysler up and they didnt carry it. If there's anyone on here that knows the belt size or knows of someone running that setup (maybe ask them for me?) could you let me know? Im running with no belt right now and it sucks. Its freakin hot outside and I currently have No A.C. or powersteering. Thanks.

its in the neighborhood of 43". to run just power steering is 40", and you will need to use the smallest belt you can fit around the three pullies in order to keep enough surface area on the a/c compressor pully.

..are you sure? I just bought a 48" belt today because a previous discussion on 2gnt was talking about how the 47" was a perfect fit for a UDP. Figuring in that I still have a stock pulley, I got the 48" belt. I'll try it out tommorow and see. Anyone else know for sure though?

well unfortunatly i dont own an eclipse anymore so i cant go check, lol. i have a feeling the belt you have will be too big, and even if it does fit it will only slightly graze the a/c compressor pully. if it doesnt work, go into any auto parts store and ask for a certain belt size and tell them what you are trying to do. MOST places will let you try out a couple belts to find the right size if you know what you are talking about. by the time you leave that parking lot you will be able to replace a belt in inder 2 minutes, lol. thats how i learned.

ok, so we can bypass the tensioner?? how in the hell do you get the belt on/off?? and dont give me very carefully (now i know someone will say it lol) Also, can you run just your powersteering and no ac?? if so then during the winter i would love to do that. How exactly do you do it?

Im gonna give it a shot again tommorow. I think it will work, if not I wouldnt say its too long, maybe an inch short if not right on. I had the back pulley hooked and the bottom one hooked, the top one up front was close to 3/4 on and I just couldnt get it tipped over. It looks like it would have been snug. I took both bolts completly off to have full movement of that pulley and I still couldnt get it on. I mean If I pulled the top pulley down I got all connected..but I couldnt get that pulley back up to bolt it in cause the belt would hold it down... (you know what im saying?) I ran out of time though cause I had to get ready for work. I let my car sit there and took the explorer. I'll see tommorow.
