Ok I've searched and searched and found nothing for what I am looking for exactly so here is the question. I have stock fuel system in my talon but I want it to run a little richer since I am getting ALOT of more air into the engine that it isn't using. So would it harm my car to toss in the 95 Turbo Fuel Pump. I have one sitting on my desk and I can do it quickly I just wanted to know if it's safe. And would it help give me a ltitle more richer fuel mixture? Thanks.

unless your car is turbo i dont see the pump matching up to the wiring in your 2gnt.

The wiring will work fine, I know how to do it and all I just want to know if this little mod will cause my car to run the wrong way and blow something up... IE: Run WAY to rich.

i'd do it. i wont hurt anything . i think teh ecu will try and compensate for more fuel.

Pretty much the only difference between the n/a and the turbo fuel pump is the pressure right? I've seen like walbro 255 fuel pumps on ebay that are for turbo applications... so if you were n/a you would buy something like a 190? If you're going turbo, i'd just buy the higher pressure pump imo

ok you would get a 190 pump. Alot of ppl runing a basic t-25 or b14 sometims even a 16g turbo will not need a 255 pump. I have only seen a couple of turbo dsm's that need it, one of which is a guy who works at dynamic turbo runnin 11s about to get into 10s.

Thanks a lot guys, I'll give it a try... just wanted to know if it's safe. I can always rewire it I have no problems with that... just wanted to make sure I didn't need a S-AFC or something along those lines. But thanks again.

It'll fit, but you're not going to make any power from it. What exactly do you have done that is allowing so much more air into your motor, praytell?

Yeah what is adding WAY more air? Also you do realize that just throwing in a large fuel pump is not going to change your fuel mixture right? To do that you need to change the FPR or the injectors...

well I just have a CAI, and thats about it, BUT the car is running lean for some odd reason. It seems when I drive the car if I stomp on it it runs like it's supposed to but as I hold at WOT, it starts to get leaner and leaner. then if I let off the gas and then tromp it again it goes leaner then before. It won't stay running rich. Any ideas? Someone suggested a bad injector or possible a clogged fuel filter? I don't know really to be honest. Any info would be nice.

well before you go and put that fuel pump in, id look at the fuel filter, or even the filter on your stock fuel pump. After that move on to a good injector cleaning, have a shop run that 3M Injector cleaner through your system. Cost is about 100 bucks for labor and parts for that. After that, check your fuel pressure regulator if possible. Dont just throw the pump in the car because your running lean, fix whats wrong then continue on with mods(which the pump isnt needed anyways)

Well how do you know it's running lean? Are you using a blinky light guage or what? Also on a car that is N/A a "slightly" lean condition would be ideal to make extra power. We tune the turbo car's rich for saftey, as long as your not getting knock or other issues associated with a lean condition then I say let it make the power... I really want to know how you are monitoring the rich/ lean condition though as you may just not be getting a good reading...
