Im doing a bottom end rebuild cause as some of you may know I snapped my rod. Anyway I was just wondering what you guys think about the long rod. What are the advantages and disadvantages of getting long rods. I know the long ones give me low end torque but am I loosing more then I'm gaining ?

Actually, I figured you broke a rod since your screen name is "brokenrodguy." :shrug I would suggest you take a look in the advanced forum and see if you can find a post about a "high rpm screamer." You might try the search, but there was some good discussion in that thread about the benefits of long rods. So far, I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Yeah Corbin knows his shyt..good guy and he wont steer ya wrong.Long rod IMO...but if money is a factor there a go.

This is what i Love to see. Someone makes a post n even if its a repost theres nice guys that provide threads and/or still give their opinions/advice rather than exploding and telling people to search. Very nice of you fella's. :)

looks like the general population wishes their rods were longer. :shrug thats what i'll be going with when the time comes.... :knock on wood:
