I just saw these plugs and was wondering if anyone has them or has heard anything about them. They say the electode is silver so it should be better than most. :shrug

If you are close to stock, I'd run the ngks in one range hotter. If you check my info/profile, the name of the plugs in in my mods list. =) Only $8 for 4.

That is what I have in my car right now, and I don't plan on changing. I just wanted to find out about these plugs ;)

they are for me and you to poop on.;) not gonna get much of an advantage from them, possibly even a loss. :thumbsdown

I've read about someone disecting one, and theoretically they should work. but how efficiently is unknown to me anyways. to me, it seems like it would cause a delay in spark, so you'd have to mess with your timing a bit. its probably not even substantial though.

I have been using silverstone plugs in my car ever since I went turbo. I will not use any other type of plug. Reason being, the technical aspects of the silverstone plug are just well thought out from a performance and engineering point of view. Silver, regardless of what you have heard, has the lowest resistance of any metal. It also is the most thermally conductive, even more so than copper. Being that the center electrode is pure silver, and there is no resistor, These plugs have the lowest built in resistance than any plug I know of. As for the performance gain, I noticed a smoother acceleration and better ignition at higher RPMs. I did also notice that when my ignition system was stock and i was using NGKs gapped to .030 at higher boost levels, I would get some hesitation and occasional misses. I swapped the NGK's out to theses silverstones, and changed nothing else and found that the hesitation and missing disappeared at the same .035 gap. I personally believe they are a very good plug and don't cost too much at about 6 bucks each. One downside of these plugs is, being that the center electrode is pure silver and not alloyed with anything the plugs wear out pretty fast. I would say i change them every 10-20K miles.

I haven't used them personally, but Jeremy our V-6 R&D guy uses and swears buy them, so we added them to the site. He loves 'em.

i may have to try those out...i know i had bosch +2's for a long time, those i switched to NGK's recently...bleh definate loss in power there. im lookin for some others to swap in...my engine apparently dosent like the ngk's very much.

you know, ive had ngks the entire time ive owned my car, and ive always had hesitation, slight to extreme. Im going to invest in these plugs and a good set of wires, hopefully that will solve my problem.
