75410, Full polyureathane/solid pass side motor mounts
Posted by rhui, May-31-04 02:14 PM
Who here is running these? How does the car feel? And more importantly where did you get yours?

Are the energy suspension motor mounts inserts enough for a high hp car? (Found @ http://www.turbotechracing.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=204&idproduct=559)

I'd prefer the Prothane urathane mounts, but I can't seem to find a vendor that sells them for our cars (Front, rear, and sides).

Only other place is @ http://www.deyemeracing.com/ under 1995-1999 Avenger/Sebring Coupe. But this is going to be pricey @ $69usd/each mount.

TIA,
Ritchie.

motormonts= motor dosent jump around as easy when driving/launching, helps with launching a good amount. You'll feel everything in the car shake.

Thnx for the reply steve!

Do you know if those inserts are for the front, rear, and sides? or just front and rear?

The review implies its all around... but i called them and they said they arent sure but they think its just front and rear.

The ones I got were solid on the the passenger and driver side, and the front and rear were inserts. I love them, and every girl that rides with me likes the vibration :thumbsup

Mind me asking what brand and where you got the solid sides and inserts for front and rear?

Thnx,
Ritchie

Turbo8u is correct, I got the Prothanes from Summit, like $65, they were the more expensive ones in the catalog :shrug , but $65 isn't really all that expensive. Just so you know what you're getting into, the front and rear I just had to insert the little pieces around the existing mount. But the side mounts I ended up having to cut the rubber out of the mount, then, carefully so as not to damage the aluminum housing, I used a Sawzall to cut the steel portion out of the housing to fit the solid inserts. Dont try this with a hacksaw, you'll hate life. That may all sound a bit confusing but when you look at the mount it makes sense. Not to hard a job, if a moron like me can do it then you'll have no prob :thumbsup
