From the symptoms of my car, I think I need a new head gasket. Its puffing out white smoke. Keep in mind, this is the first time I started the car in 5 months (accident), so it COULD be bad gas. But I remember one day when I was changing the plugs, before it got into the accident, I saw oil on the plug on piston #2.

Hopefully it isn't the head gasket. If its not, what else could it be? I'm hoping its just bad gas. If not, then maybe I'd go with a full 2.4L :D

My engine was rebuilt and dropped back in recently. The gas in the tank is from October '03 and mine blows out white and dark smoke...
maybe try adding some "NOS in a can" to boost it's octane? :shrug
Even if that dosnt fix it, it wouldnt be a bad thing anyway.

Yeah, I was just thinking of emptying out the tank completely, and putting some new gas in there. It is like touching the E line right now.

Fill 'er up imo! Be a saucy fellow and find some place with full service. If you're going to pay the big bucks for gas, you may as well get some service too right? :p

Do I still need a new head gasket though? Considering that I DID see oil in one of the plugs, and the engine has 138K miles?

Oil in the spark plug well could be nothing more than a bad spark plug well gasket.

If there's actually oil on the tip of the plug and the well is dry. It could be the head gasket or oil getting past the rings. Before you do anything I would run a compression test.
