I hope I put this under the right topic
Alright, 1 year ago I did the Auto to manual swap. I kept the auto harness and just modified it. Since then the speedo and the odo. hasnt worked. I soldered the 3 wires to the right ECU pinouts and nothing happens. Ive even bought new sensors, nothing. This weekend I pulled out my motor to rering it and I was pulling all the wiring out to repaint the engine bay and I ran into something. I ran into 2 nice size white plugs hiding under the ECU. They look like plugs that between the both of them, hold all of the wiring under the hood. But here's the catch, the plug-in side of these plugs have like inserts in them to where you cant plug them into anything. Im wondering if theres something there thats keeping my speedo from working. Maybe somebody out there can help me or atleast know what these plugs are. Thanx alot, sorry so long!!

i swapped.
all i had to do was use the 3 cables that come from the speedo pig tail on the tranny to the ECU.
try to match the colors.
it will work.

if it does not.
then you have to replace the speedo gear, located inside the tranny.
it happened to me.
part only cost me 20 bux.
install is what got me.

www.drivetrain.com

later.

Hey I dont know what the technical term for those things are but there splice blocks or whatever Its were the stock wiring harness has wires spliced into others. Its suppose to be how it is....i did the tranny swap to on my car myself and looked at them for a while while i removed the unneeded auto wires. Hey could you tell me what wire you uses for the speed sensor....the color of the wire and its location on the plug

They're just junctions. They don't do anything, they're not plugs.

Your speedo doesn't work most likely because the plastic ring on the diff has come loose, or its wired wrong.

dont remember the coloring.. but it was something like yellow\white - yellow and yellow/black
i might be mistaken..

if you have the pigtal the colors should be there just go to the ecu and tap in.

you'd have to replace the diff gear if that does not work.

yup.. u got it.

find them on the ECU...
there are two pings coming from the upper connector and one from the lower i believe.
again..
i might be wrong.
