It's called a "stutter box" and they can be useful if you spend a lot of time drag racing at the track. Otherwise it's not going to get much use on the street imo.

msd dis-2 has a built in adjustable rev. limiter that works well.

And the crane has a 2 stage adjustable rev limiter (stutter box) on it as well. I have it setup right now- stage 1 set at 1000 and is hooked to a hidden switch so its undrivable- theft protection.
stage 2 is set at 3300 and is good for launching and for creating fireballs at stoplights...

I'd say its more useful for scaring ricers on the street than at the dragstrip. :thumbsup

Make sure you pick up a fake BOV, fake intercooler, and woowoo tips for maximum effect on the streets.

Honestly I would stay away from the MSD units and ETX and others can aggree with me I think. They seem to have a high failure rate.
Also the Crane unit has 2 adjustable limiter points, and you can buy a boost variable timing retard unit. so you can pull linearly, by rpm, or by boost level. pretty sweet.
