i have no idea why. I was at prom sittin in car outside waiting 2 leave and it would click off then back on right away (making it rev up) i didnt pay much attention to it, itd happen about every 5 minuites, then when i was driving itd do it again. I was accelerating and then it clicked off and right back on... this cant be good 4 my car.

holy crap, maybe a bad ignition wire. explain turing off a little more... are we talking 100% shut down, like no lights, no power, and no engine or is this just the engine? how long does is stay off for... 1 second, 3 seconds, .5 second. when this happens, can you hear your fuel pump prime again? is it like someone turned the key off then on real fast or are you just stalling? how high does it rev up when it comes back on, like to the same rpm that your car revs up to when you start it? the more info the better.

ok here we go. Its only off for a split second, then it kicks back on... when at idle itd almost stall out then rev up to like 2500 rpms. when im driving, it seems like feels like when your high in gear and you let off the gas then tap it again, nose drops a lil. All of the dash lights (cel etc) flash off then back on. thx 4 teh help.

... come on guys, o and its only 2100 rpms it goes up 2 when it acts up at idle, not 2500... and my regular idle is steady right around 1000 rpms.

Have you removed/blocked off your EGR system?

check battery connections and clean/redo them if need be. My car did the same exact thing...Then i replaced the connector and cleaned the post and all has been well ever since.

I didnt think itd work because my connectors are only like 3 months old... but the cleaning of the posts/connectors did the trick. Thx alot bro, points.

werd...no prob daug...i know how much it sucks...yer car kinda stops functioning and you jus kinda get this wierd feeling and look on your face...then it kicks back in and you look around like "WTF"
