sadly pics wont happen. camera is not that good, plus its kinda hard to see whats there (not a lot and very small) i did pull out 2 thin slivers about tho, but other than that not very much at all to the naked eye.

The only thing that should shave off is the honed cylinder walls & rings.

whats anyone think about that screen that goes betwen your filter and block? is a magnet plug avalible form a local auto shop?

I'm glad to have read this because after getting my engine rebuilt back from CT engines, while in the process of making the oil return line, metal shavings were found at the bottom of the oil pan. So now I feel a bit better knowing I'm not the only one that happens to.... but then again, I also drove the car without a turbo, with cams for a turbo and got a slight ticking noise.
I'm trying hard not to be scured.

Metal shaving are normal after inital break-in. Also keep in mind that the first time you change your oil after a fresh build should not be 1000 miles. When first starting the motor up, fill it with CHEAP oil, walmart brand etc, because you are going to change it after running it for about 20 minutes anyway. Following that, my suggested procedure is again at 50 miles, 100, 500, then 1000. New filter with all of these as well. Again these short intervals are done with cheap as oil, no need to buy Mobile 1 for $5.00 a quart.

Some people will say the interval I stated is overly-anal, but if you just spent a few grand on a new motor, why take the chance? Keep it clean.

yea, i did that. i ran it for 45 min at 2000 rpm, changed the oil, then changed it again at 250 and then 500 (i think, i know i intended to but cant remember), and now at 1000.

After 2 or 3 oil changes, your oil should be clean. There may still be metal, but there shouldn't be anything that can be seen by the naked eye (hehe... I said naked!). Ship some of that oil off to some place for oil analysis, and see what you can see. I recommend Blackstone labs (http://www.blackstone-labs.com), as they are prompt and professional. They really know their shit, too.
