74691, EGR blockoff question concerning emissions...... Posted by lickscissors, May-18-04 05:32 AM i need to do this...theres about no other way around it....im from pa and we have some pretty strict emissions....im a 95 so i wont have to take the obd2 test.... if i do this blockoff, will the actual emissions suffer? or just visual emissions? because the guy i go to probably wont care if i disconnected it, as long as the probe tells him im allright....so what do you think? and ive tried searching, but is there a resistor or something to pu in the egr valve plug? ive read to just leave the solenoid thing pluged in, just not connected to vacuum lines...any input...thanks | |

74696, RE: EGR blockoff question concerning emissions...... Posted by Michael_97RS, May-18-04 05:53 AM The EGR reduces nitrogen emission at the expense of raising carbon emission. So it depends what they test for. Chances are you;d be okay if your car is running good and in tune. | |
