Yea my dad has his own shop with 2 and 4 post lifts. Theres nothing better than access to a hoist when you own a DSM.

werd...except when you're so slammed you have to jack the frame up first with a floor jack just to get the arms under the beams :P

Yea i have a few picts of before and after but the mopar is in the way of mot of it. The best part is the dual 60gal compressors and all in wall piping. I rewired the whole thing so there are more than enough plugs:). I have to put up my garage door opener this weekend.

The garage is my little world...lol

Most military bases have an auto/hobby shop like this one.

Just curious though- what do they do if you can't finish the work in one day? Like my car sits up on jackstands 6 months out of the year... so do you have to just tow it back home every night?

naw you just leave it there, no big deal. ive seen peoples cars stay there for MONTHS on end...it slowly adds up though but ive never had a bill there for more than 200$ and ive done all sorts of work there and had many spells of downtime

Sorry if that was not clear... But you did answer my question... So this is a mitilary benefit. I was hoping this was a private corporation that was renting out these spaces. You see I wanted to do something like this for private citizens where they could just come and rent out a garage to work in. Do they have these at all bases or only a select few???

i know man :) its NICE to not have to carry around so much extra oil all the time!!!

and as far as i know, there are only two of these facilites...because i have been to both of them. there are probably more but no where NEAR as mellow as this one...thats for sure. its about 5 mins from the ocean so it gets a sweet ass ocean breeze and makes for the IDEAL work environment...and you get tired? just go home and come back in a few hours. they have a machine shop too, tire balancing..brake re-surfacing...

id be a kn0btard not to take advantage of this place :P

i have a corner in the shop reserved for all my 2.4 shit, its like 5 bucks a month...lol
