This is a common occurance on 2GNTs in general, not just 2GNTs with an AFX pulley.
Common causes are failing tensioners, pulleys out of alighment, and (most likely your problem) insufficient torque applied when installing the pulley. ALWAYS make sure you torque the crank snout bolt to 105ft/lbs OR MORE when installing the accessory pulley to insure the pulley seats at the proper depth to maintain pulley alignment.

i am getting the afx udp on wednesday, from what i hear they r one of the best mods for our 2gnt's. Other mods i have are: CAI, cat back, no cat, header 4-1, apex'i afc on monday, the udp when it gets here, and Port work that is going to be getting done soon
EDIT: Sorry i got off topic lol, my questions is what problems would be able to arise from our stock pulleys in comparison to the udp?

Rephrase. Your question does not lead to a practical answer. No problems would 'arise' from keeping the OEM pulley.

I'm pretty sure I know what u mean...its not too hard to figure out but maybe it is for some people but.....right now I'm havin problems with the power steering belt but that can happen with the OEM pulley as said above....the pulley is much as smaller and wieghs a LOT less...u gotta keep an eye at a stop with a lot of accessories on....like all of them....at a long light just turn the heat or air off until u start movin again cuz ur battery light will come on....but it MOS DEF gives some VERY nice gains....the car will pull a lot harder....

I've never had my battery light come on, and I've been running the AF/X UDP for a year and a half or more. I had a problem with my PS belt coming off, and it turned out that the PS pump was cocked sideways a little bit sitting in the bracket. I straightened it up, and put the tension on the belt using the tensioner/idler pulley, and it's been fine since.

Yah if you used the bando belts it came with, these tend to get loose or squeal (which tends to mean they're loose laf) so make sure to tighten the tensioners.

nope I had bought the gatorbacks.....but I've heard the ps/ac belt listed on sean's writeup is an inch or 2 too big....I need to know if there is any truth to this or if something else is wrong ASAP.....

I got the pulley yesterday, it did come w/ the bando belts...are these not good? They look like they were built/designed well, but I guess ya can't tell much by that anymore these days. What problems might I have wit the car radio if any, I have seen people with up to 800 watt systems in their cars, now I only have upgraded speakers (blankputs 150 watts) n the car came with a clarion head unit but I don't think I should be expecting problems. Any recommendations for the install as I am going to install it on Saturday,
Any info will be appreciated -Mike
