Sup guys.
I just installed a used Power Steering pump that I bought from this forum 2 months ago.

Coz my g/f eclipse when she turns, it is making EERRR sound. not from loose belt.

So today I put in the new one.
But so many bubble (air) coming out of the power steering fluid bottle thing cap.

So what's up? do I have to bleed? or what do I have to do?
please let me know!

im not sure of a correct way to bleed the p/s system, but it looks like you have found a way, lol. just let it bubble and release pressure, then re-fil as needed.

yeah...but it bubble NO MATTER WHAT.
Can someone please help?

I used the whole bottle of power Steering fluid, and till now, it still flood out, with bubbles (over 20 mins of bleeding) (trying to bleed)

I really want to see what's the "REALLY" correct way to bleed it.
I searched the manual/PDF, and PS pump is not in any part. So please help?

i read a while back on a random google search for "power steering bleed" or something, with the front completely off the ground, turn the steering wheel side to side (stop to stop). this is with the engine off. after your arms get tired, refill the fluid reservior, repeat till level remains constant. worked for me.

Yes, just lift the front of the car off the floor and turn the stering wheel all the way to both sides. It will take you like 10 to 12 times to eliminate all the bubbles. Also,it may make a little of noise for one or two days until all the air is out of the system.

If that doesn't work, install a rudder in the back. :)

it also helps if you make revving and tire-screaching noises as you are turning the wheel. might as well have some fun while youre in there, lol. :wavy

disconnect ignition and fuel injection, with the front of the car off of the ground, turn the wheel while cranking the motor (low speed cranking won't fry the pump) and wait till bubbles are gone.

I just did what the above said.
Jacked up the front car, then turn the steering for over 20 times, and fill the steering fluid to max and so on.

And when I start the engine to try, I found out one of the hose leaks and power steering fluid shoot all over my face.

so I replaced the hose, then start over again, do the bleeding, and etc, and start the car again. all good and after like 1 min I start hearing a "little" sound. I really little. so I am like..it's fine.
Then I drive the car around just to try it (less then 30 sec) then it start making louder and louder noise again. now it's like my original old power steering pump. so I open the cap and I see all hte power Steering fluid is with bubbles again.

Can there be another leak?
But I do'nt see any fluid shoot out like last time.

yeah, gotta fix the leaks first. get someone else to do the steering wheel turning while you crawl underneath with a flashlight to look for the leak. once it's leak free it should bleed out as described above. let us know

edit, just realized you only replaced the pump... could the problem be with the unit underneath (forgot name) that actually moves the tie-rods/wheels? seal letting air in, etc? maybe try a leak test with soapy water if you don't find anything else...wet sealing points and look for bubbles/sucking. just some ideas

You obviously have leaks still in either your hoses or the rack (Rack is what actually moves)...

Do you know any good mechanics near you? It just seems that you keep strugling with real simple things like this and your battery cable thread...

The hoses go in one position. There is the high pressure hose and the low pressure hose. Don't switch them.
If the order is Ok, look for leaks. Hope you find and fix the problem.
