ok lately my car is being ODD! it will drive normal most of the time, but after ive been cruising around at low speeds it stutters like a bitch under acceleration above -10 vac...my fuel pressure is fine, new plugs, plug wires are reasonably new and so is the coil pack. im thinking its either the 02 sensor or the map sensor but i dont know, no CEL's...

i was just cruising on the freeway and then it starts to studder randomly out of no where, it shard to even drive unless i just coast.

now, my rear main has been leaking ;( and i was thinking it could *maybe* be that oil is getting on the clutch? except its not really slipping, its just kinda bucking and hesitating...seems like a sensor problem. any suggestions?

if i leave it like overnight and drive it the next day it wont do it...and then comes back, i have it logged so im gunna check those out at work tomorrow but hmm...this is buggin me

edit:

would having a egr still hooked up have anything to do with this? maybe i'll try cappin it off and see how it goes..

My car did somthing similar to this when the egr was cloged. Do like you said and block it off or clean it up and see if that helps. On the other hand I had the cel to tell me what it was. Good luck :thumbsup

^ yea what he said. hmmm you've covered just about all the obvious aspects I could think of, sounds like a sensor problem almost. only other "simple" thing I can think of that causes hesitation like that is the fuel filter but I guess your pressure is stable so is that ruled out? :shrug at least you have on the streets again though

the EGR tube was cleaned THOROUGHLY when i re-installed my motor. the fuel filter is new as well. i reset the ECU and so far...she has actually been ok...i havent done any WOT rips but it seems to want to stumble under load and i dont know why, i can just sense it and back off the gas a little...

my car is annoying me right now x(

its probably fuel related because its sensor related, i think its my map...the egr might have toasted a wire and its grounding the connection or some shit. for once i WISH i had a CEL...

egt's wouldnt matter though

just concerned about low fuel press under boost. wouldn't that cause the egt's to rise. :shrug

my fuel pressure under boost is fine, i see .92v from my 02 sensor at WOT

the car OCCASIONALLY runs like crap though...thats what i just dont get, like...it will drive normal...then all the sudden go into crap mode and start studdering and bucking x(

ok i find myself LIMPING my baby back home tonight now! WTF! it was driving FINE, then all the sudden....whoa, couldnt even keep it at freeway speeds and coasted for pretty much 4 miles in neutral and poppin it into gear to keep the momentum...pulled over, reset the ecu...still studers, logged it all too....rpm's just dip down, cant hold much above 4000..its gotta be the fuckin clutch...fuck...i need to call in sick to go pull a tranny, oh joy, oh rapture. x(

Your clutch is'nt causing it to miss like it is. The reason it's not throwing a code is because the comp dont see a problem, everything that feeds back info is ok. So that leaves other things like injectors, plug wires & what not. My car was pulling the same stunt, I had fairly new plug wires and they checked out ok on ohms but I replaced them anyway and problems gone. Does it run ok at low steady rpm, does it just fall on its face in high rpm? Get a stethascope and listen to the injector pulse while its running. You should hear a steady uniform tick that increases and stays uniform with the rpms. If they are really dirty they will sound more like a grinding noise when you raise the rpms.

alright fellas, found it....check this out:

car starts to studder REAL bad tonight....so i just hacked it out and had to drive home, FINALLY threw a cel...p1391, but came up with no info on my logger. book said CMP or CKP connection...i immediately go DOH! cam angle wires...jump out, go look and wiggle the wires....drives fine :thumbsup i noticed that it would do the studdering after i hit a speedbump or something...but it would never die at idle, and affect random throttle points and rpm's it was aggravating and VERY hard to drive...but it was do-able, with some love and a lot of coasting

im going to the shop tomorrow to replace my rear main and axle seals so i'm gunna re-do the wiring on the cam angle...what a little peice of sheeit... i seriously couldnt figure it out but i knew it was ignition related

I have a similar problem except mine hesitates at RPM's below 3,000 at WOT. Any help would be great, I have replaced my fuel filter under the car already and it ran great for a while now again stutter? Any suggestions?

its probably ignition related, replace the plugs and plug wires and see if that helps...if not, go for the coil pack

Thanks just ordered some new wires, and coil pack, and o2 sensor. Have fairly new plugs. If all that doesnt fix it......
