I received my order today - AFX UDP, 160* stat, and the 16lb Moroso Radiator cap that is specifically listed under 2GNT under the cooling section. Well I get it out of the box and I think, 'That looks a little large, more like the generic cap that goes on V8s and such.' Sure enough, does not fit. After reading the other post about complaints against Howell I felt weary ordering from them, but I have heard good things as well.

I am all for supporting a business that supports the 2GNT crowd, but sh*t like this is discouraging.

Let's see how much trouble I ahve trying to get my money back.

Have you considered that maybe you just received the wrong part by mistake?

You'll likely not have any trouble either getting your money back, or getting the correct part. The Neon cap is the same as a 2gnt cap, and the same across all 420A platforms.

Call, get an RGA, and ship it back with your reciept.

They sent me the wrong size rod bearings. I called and ensured they would send the right part this time and had no problems whatsoever. They actually shipped me the replacement out before they received mine back. It was frustrating to receive the wrong thing the first time, but their customer service was very good I thought.

I checked the part number on the packaging, my receipt and on their website, all check out. I will probably just keep it and not have to deal with shipping a 12.00 part. My roomates jeep can use it.

I am just disappointed is all. =/

Replacement cap at AutoZone runs under $10. Can anyone give me a reason why I would need a heavier duty cap? What sort of mods would warrant such a thing. I've honestly never heard much about it. :shrug

The moroso cap is not a heavier duty version, same pressure cap that comes OE. I just wanted it because I like the Moroso name.

And unless I recognize the brand name of the part, I am not mean enough to my DSM to put Autozone parts on it :cheers

I received an order from Howell on the 27th and my order was missing parts also... all I did was call Howell and they took care of it... they shipped out the missing rod bolts and rod bearings the next day... received them today. :thumbsup

I say Howell does a good job of taking care of their customers. Just call them up and see what they have to say. I'm sure they will be good about it...
