I might have my first on in the wrong section so here... sorry
First one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33629&item=2475412519&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
Second one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33629&item=2474893522&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
What do you think about those two? Which one would you rather go with? They talk about them not coming with an air tube...what is that and do we need it?

Are you talkin about that 2nd one I am showing or the 2nd post by Speedtek?
I agree about the one that Speedtek showed just looks like a resonator.

Yes we can make a 3in hiflow. It'd be direct bolt on, flanges welded up to correct angles(stock location) and we use heavy duty 1/4in thick exhaust hangers. Any questions, email to sales@exileracing.com

So you think it's actually a cat and not just a resonator? Curious...

It's a test pipe. I have one, gave the exhaust a sweet sound, but the the exhaust smell fills up the cabin sometimes at a stop. I have to put the old cat on once a year to pass emissions, but it's worth it.

Well I just bought the Magnaflow CarSound (the first link I gave) and a 3" flex for $105 shipped.

It is not a test pipe. A test pipe is just how it sounds a pipe. This is a form of a high flow cat. I have 2 versions of it and a test pipe. Putting the test pipe on seems to give a few mors horses than the cat.

Noooo... not that one.
This is the one I have. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33629&item=2475895330&rd=1
It's just a hollow flared tube with flanges on the ends.

Bleh i think its idiotic to critizice those who use cats. Hell if they want to do it so be it
...those in states that require you to smog = need cats, without an actual cat (aka gutted cat dosent help you lower pig rich DSM exhaust fumes) you will not pass due to high HC
BTW with todays real high flow cats (you can actualy see through it from one end to the other), losses (unoticeable in some cases) are a lot less than in the past with the bag'n pellet style...
Changing subjects i found out now my sandrail in NV could be licenced (just looked into it to make it a daly driver hahahahaha)...and since it qualifies as a VW old beetle..no smog needed...it actualy has no mufler and its 4 straight pipes out the back, just would need to add windshield and blinkers and it would be streetworthy :)

i only have to put it on once every two years, works perfectly... cops dont drive around with mobile sniffers or someshit... they only bust you for exhaust thats unreasonably loud, and a cat is not the best way to control noise!!
