Just wanted to let everyone know that when you use the search function you can find the answer to you question (usually in multiple threads and with multiple opinions). I did this and I think I have fixed my hesitation problems.

The Back Story.
For the past month or so my car has been hesitating horribly off the line, and when I put any amount of strain on the engine (Think 2k rpm in 5th gear or anything below 3k in any other gear. Eventually I got frustrated with it when in 1st gear I could bearly move and I pushed it to WOT. BLINK BLINK BLINK goes the CEL. I finally caused my #1 cylinder to misfire.

Over the month my gas milage also started to go to shit. I went from 350mi on a tank of gas to around 225, and I live in SoCal where CHEAP gas is $2.15/gallon. I had a similar problem with my Accord a few years ago and decided to change the spark plugs, instant success, or so I thought. The car ran perfectly for the next two days, then slowly but surely, the car reverted back into it's crap ass performance.

Finally I decided to consult the powers of the 2gnt geniuses. So I search for "hesitation" and BAM I get thirty posts, with about 25 different causes for hesitation. I looked through all the symptoms for all the causes and decided that my O2 sensor had gone bad on me.

So I went down to Autozone (it was an urgent trip, I couldn't wait for shipping from nopi) got a sensor and their loaner tool, put the car up on jackstands and started to work on the car.

The old O2 sensor was in there friggin tight. I tried the tool, but I couldn't get all my force going the right direction and the socket slipped off and snapped the old sensor in half. Well good thing I was gonna replace it anyway...

so I started working the sensor that was screwed into my exhaust manifold... it wouldn' budge so I sprayed some WD40 on it and waited an hour.

Still no movement. so I Decided to warm up the car and try then.

Still nothing. so I decided to break out the 22mm 16inch long wrench to try to break it free.

After about 20 mins of putting as much weight as I could into it, the bugger finally decided to move about 40 degrees. I had found my window, so I started to roll it back and forth getting a little more movement each time. It took another two hours to get it all the way out, and when I saw the sensor out of the manifold, my stomache dropped to the ground.

There were about 1/4 of the threads still on the sensor, the rest were in the manifold! I had to literally strip the thing out to remove it.

Luck for me though the manufold still had all its threads and a few passes with a steel brush ceaned them all out. I then installed my new Bosch sensor. The really hard part was finding the correct wiring.

the stock sensor came with 4 wires, 2 white a gray and a black, and the new sensor came with 4 wires, 2 black, 1 white and one blue. wtf?!

I did some research and found that bosh has 95% of the OEM O2 sensor market so odds were that my OEM was a bosch. so I went to bosch.com and found out that they use something like 6 different wiring color systems and they had a pdf on installing an o2 sensor that had a chart with all the different color combinations and their corresponding colors! I hit a gold mine.

So I wired it up , reset the ecu and the car has bee running lie new for the past week.
