72955, Stupid Question on New Injectors on Turbo Posted by CrazyEclipse, Apr-16-04 06:32 AM
<begin quick rant> I've been getting the run around by people for the past few days and I'm sick and tired of it. All I want is new injectors, and people tell me "larger injectors only add 10% more fuel" and "the are not worth your time because your keeping your stick ECU" and my most favorite "why dont you have your mechanic call us and we can set something up with him". I'm a girl but GIVE ME SOME FUCKING CREDIT! <end quick rant> So how important are larger injectors in a built motor and turbo. I want 440cc or around there, but no one stocks them, so it is up to 2 weeks out and I need the car running this weekend. I was wondering if anyone knows if I can run the car on stock injectors for a break in period, and not boost much, or if the whole 10% more fuel thing is right. Any straight answers would be great.

tell em to stick it. think about this. you can run 12psi safely on 30lb (310cc) injectors. and 18psi safely on 42lb (440cc) injectors. see any differance there?
just buy a set of mustang (ford) high impedence (saturated) injectors.
