Well, I went and ordered the DC Ceramics Header at nopi.com. I know Adventon has them too but too much hassle getting it there with the faxing process, etc. Being the first one with these headers on this board I guess I'll let you in on the out come of things.

Welp, just finished installing my headers and I felt a pretty good difference...my car pulls harder now and my exhaust sounds a little deeper now, which is good. My problem is that i'm getting that nasty raspy sound (kind of like a farting noise) everytime I gas harder...I'm not sure if any of you AUTOs have had this problem...I have a HKS Hiper Cat, High Flow Cat, and now the DC header...I was hoping the header would eliminate the sound but it doesnt. I know a resonator would likely solve the problem but would anybody know why it possibly causes this noise? Is it because of the high-flow cat? I remember getting that noise after I replaced my catalytic converter with a test-pipe once...but could it also be the installation?

how many did you buy?... one or two? I see you mentioned headers, not header.

I notice a guy who is either trying to hard to be funny or just plain dumb. So you noticed he said headers? Well please read the whole thing. He stated he bought the header, then stated her was one of the first to have one of these headers on this board. Meaning more then one on the second instance. So he was completely correct in his wording. Instead of being rude you might try to answer his question.....just a thought.

And to try to answer your question: Mine now makes the same sounds with the high flow cat I installed. It didnt do it before i installed the cat. I just believe there is was less restiction of the air flow now and that is making the sounds you are refering too. I am going to install my straight pipe this weekend and see if the sounds get worse. If they do it will just validate my theory. Hope this helps.

OK noob, before you jump the gun let's get things straight. I asked if he had more than one because I know of a local RS who was looking for that header to run at an upcoming Weds. track event in less than 2 weeks. As he mentioned in an earlier post, there was a wait and May 12th will be here shortly. Now go to sleep, I am done.

your hyper is lacking the large resonator a NT exaust would have... which make sit super loud and probably makes the farting noise.

was the header worth it? is it a significant gain??

well the car pulls a little harder and responds quicker too. I'm quite happy with it...I guess it was reasonable to pay $280 for it...at least I didnt spend $400+ for Greddy Headers...probably get the same results. I'd say if you want a dependable header and not spend too much then go for the DC ceramics...as for the raspy sound I had a resonator installed to reduce the noise...much better.
