72821, Does your Fidanza Cam Gear look like this? Posted by EclipsedChef, Apr-13-04 06:05 PM
Notice the number 12 marking where the degree marks are..along with 12 degrees of adjustment. My other gear only has 10 degrees of adjustment and + - marks. Now, i bought them from Modern Performance, and after calling them yesterday they told me that since they are used(installed) that i cannot return them because they claimed not to have messed up. Who else packaged the wrong gear, sent it to me, and allowed me to install it? I didnt find out until this past weekend that it was the wrong gear, how would i have know that i was getting the wrong thing? What should i do about this?

I would talk to a manager or supervisor there and explain the actual situation. Usually the people who answer the phones are told to not accept returns. If you can explain the situation and calmly state that it was shipped improperly or packaged improperly by fidanza they might be a lil more understanding. I wouldn't give up and get screwed out of the money if they are wrong. Sorry i don't have fidanza's i got cranes and i don't see why they would even put #12 on the gear at all!! They are only adjustable up to 10*

Check the timing mark according to the stock gear. If they line up, and it fits on the cam, has the same diameter, and the same number of teeth (and the teeth are the same size!), I don't see why it wouldn't work.
