72067, Will a 3" air filter fit? Posted by Boofer97rs, Apr-03-04 01:29 PM
Hey, I really need to replace my K&N filter. I thought it was a 2.5 inch, but the 3" are readily available on ebay.

You can go to a hardware store or Home Depot type of store go to the plumbing supplies and get a 3" to 3" (or 3" to 2.5")black rubber "coupler" for drain pipes. I dont know the exact term fo what they are called. And get two hose clamps. Its thick(like 1/4") and it will cinch down with a good seal, plus it was about $4. I had to use a 3" to 3" one on my Iceman when I bought a Reworks S.S. filter(because my K&N fell off/got stolen).... It sounds a bit hokey but it works.... It doesnt look too bad either....
