71960, Corbin's Air Fuel gauge question.... also pocketlogger question Posted by lickscissors, Apr-02-04 03:52 AM
i just installed corbins air fuel gauge, i also just got a pocketlogger.... now my car isnt running, but when i turn the key on, both o2 sensors read i think about .49 on the pocketlogger...when i connect the air/fuel gauge, that drops to about .27 (i think) on both gauges...is this just because its not running? or is it draining the power out of the o2 sensors? doug

Not necessarily related, but you did do the byte timing tests and all that stuff right? To make sure the logger was reading as many samples as possible? I don't really think it has much, if anything, to do with your problem, but I know that even when I borrow run4cvr's logger from time to time, he always has me do those two tests first for the best results.
Just a thought... :shrug

I would suspend all judgement until you start the car. And I wouldn't necessarily compare the Pocketlogger readings to the A/F gauge.

yeah, the car is just torn apart, so until i finish rebuilding, i dont want to start it.... i just didnt want to wire everything in permanently, then find out i was draining voltage from my O2 sensor... I just wired the sensor wire to the white one comming off of the O2 sensor...does that sound right? if anyone else has his gauge hooked up, could you turn your key to the ON posistion, dont start it, and tell me what your reading is...make sure the car is cold...thanks...as for the byte samples, im not exactly sure how to do it, but any help would be appreciated.... doug

Pretty sure that's done with the engine running man. You might drop Mike an email over at PocketLogger (assuming you purchased new - they don't do much bootleg support imo :P ) or even PM run4cvr from here. He used to work for Digital Tuning and knows a lot about the PocketLogger. Which reminds me...
Where's my tag frame John? LOL :P
