71945, Need help, camshaft retainer bolt broke. Posted by Pyroman415, Apr-01-04 05:37 PM
I was reinstalling my camshafts after replacing a head gasket and I was tightening the bolts that connect the "camshaft holders" to the head and one of them broke off. The break is about even with the surface of the head. How do I get this broken bolt out? What is this bolt called and where do i get a new one?

They are cam cap bolts, you have to get them from the dealer.
To remove the old one, use and extractor. Do you know there's a torque spec and sequence for those bolts?
