Here's a clue to whether a particular post belongs in a tech section: If you were to look up this particular post, could it possibly provide anyone whatsover answers to a technical subject? If it could not, then it does not belong.

...and Mike, you commented on Chris's willingness to put the 'smack down" on misplaced posts. Trust me, all of the moderators COLLECTIVELY feel the same way, it's just that this is one of his assigned sections, and being that he's been part of the 2gnt collective for such a long ass time (shit, I've been part of this board since 98' and he's been here longer than me), I think it's cool he still goes to the trouble of keeping a lot of you in line! :-)
