i know this question has been asked many times before but i can't seem to find it anywhere. headgasket is leaking externally i have oil all over the crossmember but i get puddles on the ground every day that are about 2-4 inches in diameter doesn't seem to be too bad.
my compression is fine it's at 200 on all four. no signs of internal leak. some people i've talked to said it's just a oil passage and not to worry until i start to see a lot of oil on the ground.
suggestions anyone????

If you're intent on driving it and not fixing the problem then keep oil in it, watch temperature, watch for coolant in oil and vice versa.

Fix it IMO.

You may not have to do anything more than keep an eye on the oil level and your coolant for now, but I would certainly think about saving for the rebuild sometime. If you're going to pull the head and get all the way down to the HG, you may as well at least strip it down and rebuild right? :P

Replace the head gasket, it's only a matter of tme before it gets worse and you have to start worrying about damage to other parts.

exactly what I'm doing... I'll replace my HG when I rebuild it.. and I'll also grind down one of the new Head bolts so it actually torques correctly!
