So today i decided to mess around with the gears a bit more to see if i could pull anymore power out of it. So i remove the negative terminal from the battery, set the gears to -2 exhaust and +4 on the intake side, about fifteen minutes later i start it up and drive down the road. The car pulls HARD so i was happy, and i decided to see if i could tune anymore out of it. Well this time i didnt disconnect the battery and i reset the gears to -1 exhaust and +4 intake and the car ran like shit. Come to find out i need to reset the battery blah blah. Well i go to do that and the next run i still have the hesitation and its still runing shitty. Also, ive been messing with plug gap, the first try when it ran so well i had .050 gap, then it went stitty and i moved it to .045, then .042 and now back to .050. What the hell is going on here?? I dont have any cel's that pertain to this. I know this all seems jumbled but im pretty pissed about it all. When i get back(and hour or so) im going to let the car idle for 15 minutes then go drive it for a while. Hopefully the ecu will learn the new settings and just go with it. Any input here??

Thats it..im sick of my car running like shit, im swapping out heads in a week or so..god damn peice of shit.

I cant stand having my car run like this, i set everything back to the way it was BEFORE i even messed with it today..plug gap and all and its still running like shit. Ive got a head with 90xxx miles on it so im just going to swap them out and worry about the bs later. The head i have looks perfect besides the carbon build up, and the head gasket looked perfect when i took it apart. I'll get pics up and let you decide.

If your car is is studdering and popping when you give it some gas... but when you let off it accelerates fine its your plug wires....before doin all that head work, spend 24 dollars and get some wires....im pretty sure that'll do it

my ngk wires arent really that old..do you really think its them? What wires do you suggest?

Maybe its your coil.

coil is pretty new
