GUYS PLEEEEEZ help, when im in low rpms about 2500 and below, and i give it some gas the engine hestitates, studders and pops, then after about 3-4 seconds it smooths out and starts to accelerate. This happens in any gear as long as my rpms is low.....?????? =o( when im over 3k it doesnt happen......what could be wrong??? its so sad when im at a stoplight then it turn greens and my car pops and studders and takes forever to start rollin......HELP

had a problem like this, replaced my plugs and wires (turned out both were going ververy bad), and everything was great...try it

Yeah, that or change your fuel filter.

yea, i replaced my coil plugs and wires when mine did this and it was all good...
and when mine did it i used the search function and found my answer.:shrug

I had a bad msd wire on my #1 cylinder and I had a similar problem. but my car had no power on the low end until about 5 grand. what i would do if I were you is pull the plugs and wires when you check the plugs look for any carbon trails or cracks in the insulator. a carbon trail if you don't know looks like a black mark usually going vertically down the insulator. If you have a carbon trail then the wires should be replaced. if there is a crack replace the plugs, usually best to replace all four at once...

Good advice guys, but check your fuel filter first man. $25 vs. $100. Go cheaper then work your way up.

Same here, but I replaced all of that stuff, and still had the problem..I got it fixed by pulling the engine fuse and replacing it, but it keeps trying to come back every other week. I just keep pulling the fuse...lol. These hesitation problems come from so many different things it's not even funny. In my case, I think its a wire problem and I don't feel like hunting it down right now. I'll wait until it gets warmer outside.

Wire/plugs like everyone else has said. Even if they're new, they can still have issues. It's hit and miss many times with wires.

Test their resistance. An obvious problem might show up there.

Popping almost ALWAYS means wires/plugs though. Even if you had a lack of fuel because of a sub-par fuel filter, your ecu can compensate through adding more pulsewidth through the injectors.

has anyone tried changing the PCV valve ?

good advice, how do you test their resistance?

damn Im having the exact same problem..I changed the plugs and it went good..till it happend again once 2 days ago so yeah..

change ur wires, i had the same problem. i went through almost $20 in plugs in a weeks time.

Use a multimeter and see whether the resistance is within spec. I think if it's lower than 10 or so, it's good. I can't remember what the book says, but obviously, the lower the better. This may only be one indication though.

The wires may be within spec and still have issues. I've had that happen with me before, except the car would only pop over 10 psi.

you might also wanna check and see if you have any kind of moisture on the wires ends or the plugs. Had something like that happen to me after washing my engine.

I am having a similar problem. I tested my Magnacore 8.5 wires are the longer ones had a 13k ohm resistance and the short ones where like 11k resistance. they seemed consistant so my guess is that they are not bad. Changed sparks plugs too-same thing. If you pull the fuse it goes away temporarily which means the ECU is screwing up something. Maybe a sensor is bad or something. Also replaced the fuel filter btw.

hrmm, yeah i juss washed my engine a week or two ago, and 100% water got into the plugs.... so i used an powerful air tool and blew the water out...hrmmm ill change the pulgs and wires tomorrow and tell ya'll how that goes....w00t

i had the same problem and replaced my stock wires with john98gs's stock wires and it fixed everything. i still need to repay him for these as he shipped them and all for free. stock plugs wires are cheap and could fix it. also replace your plugs and/or check the gap. goodluck.
