70624, Injectors, Fuel Pressure, whole bunch of shit. Posted by a_miller_76, Mar-14-04 07:06 AM
Okay, in a constant surge of frustration to fix my car I've just ripped it all down.
Should I have had any pressure in the fuel rail with the car off? I pushed the little test port and nothing came out, then when i removed the hard like there wasn't shit in there.
So my injectors and rail are sitting here. The injectors are covered in shit....seriously, they're nasty. But how would i know if one is stuck open? I don't have an ohm meter and that shit to test it in the car, but I did unplug each injector individually while the car was idling and the #2 injector caused the car to stumble pretty bad then recover. Almost like the engine was compensating for extra fuel by opening the IAC and when that injector was unplugged it turned back down. But then again, if it was stuck opn that wouldn't be the issue.
I don't know, i'm just grasping for straws at this point.
I've checked all the vac lines, replaced IAC, TPS, o2, MAP, TB Gasket, and Plugs. I think i'm going to order some new injectors, coil pack, and plug wires. All these things are relatively new, but fuck it, i'll replace them anyway.
Oh well, this is fun but frustrating as hell.

yeah the fuel system should hold pressure even with the car off, unless your running a SFMU. if your EGR system is still operational, that could explain the shit on your injectors.
