70551, changing timing belt with head off Posted by nosdeclipse, Mar-13-04 06:17 AM
i'm going to have the head off soon and i'm over due for the timing belt. is it much easier to do with the head off while in the car or not? i would say yes, but i'm just looking for a def. answer.

well since you have to take off the timing belt to get the head off, I'd say you have to do it anyway..

and you won't be able to put the timing belt back on and set timing without the head on the car, so basically the head needs to be on there for you to replace it.
