70513, smoke coming from muffler
Posted by 96rs2turbo, Mar-12-04 12:06 PM
I just replaced my valve cover gasket and spark plug gaskets, and replaced the spark plugs, wires, coil pack and changed oil and now I have white smoke pouring from the muffler and underneth the heat shield. from the heat shield it only smokes when I rev up the throttle. Can anyone help should I retorque the bolts? I really don't know it is such a simple job that is now turned into a headache

you have a muffler under your heatshield? i gotta see a pic of that. sounds like your gasket isn't seated correctly and maybe you have an oil leak thats hitting you MANIFOLD. just a guess obviously. did you have to take your manifold off for anything? possibly a hole in your radiator hose thats spraying onto your mani??

he said, "from my muffler and under my heatshield."
how could you assume he said he had a muffler under his heat shield?
