70382, Smoke From Exhaust? Posted by TripleSparkle, Mar-10-04 07:57 PM
Whenever I start my car, no matter if it's cold or kinda warm, there is always smoke puffing out of my exhaust. I have a CAI, Straight-Pipe, and a Cat-Back, could this be normal? It's not a blue smoke or anything, just grey. Also, whenever I change my oil, and drain it, it is like 1 and 1/2 quarts only, ( 420A=4.5 quarts of oil). Any ideas why? Thanx.

check your coolant lately? it is possible you are burning just a little coolant and a little oil to make a gray color i suppose. :shrug

If you are that low on oil then you are either burning alot or leaking a good amount. I would look under your car for leaks and check you plugs for signs of oil consumption there.

Aight, my coolant is kinda low. But I checked my spark plugs, they're not drained with oil, like before, maybe I just need new ones. So I'll change my coolant and spark plugs this weekend. Thanx.
