70255, Been in the Yellow pages all day, need suggestions

I have been calling around all day to try and find and economical place to rebuild my motor here in Tampa Fl. Called Rennen and they wanted to replace it with a used motor instead of rebuilding it with new parts. Also Called engine lab of tampa and they seem a little pricey. Any other places that you guys can think of that will do the rebuild??? Im looking for someone local because I dont have another car that I can use and would have to rent one while its in for "surgury". Thanks in advance.

If you have the cash you could get a 2.2 from Howell or faster than you and then have a local shop just drop it in for you. This way you won't have much down time. Also Howell sells rebuild kits that you can just bring down to a engine shop and have them install.

Thanks for the Info. Called Howell and they said it would take about 6 weeks to get to me. I kinda need something faster than that. If any other help or suggestions could be made please dont hesitate to post. Thanks

Howell has kits that contain all of the componets they put in there rebuilt engines. You could just buy one of these kits and then have an engine shop install the parts for you. I would think this would take alot less time.
