Actually, they now make parts for different car makes. I've seen advertisements in magazines.

Its true sir, DC does make a header for the 420a believe it or not; I've seen them elsewhere too.

Ajna, for god sakes dont get this; at least wait for AF/X to complete theres or get the fastfabrications one and get either one dyno'd for the rest of the community.

well thats why i wanna find out if its just a pretty stock manifold like the greddy...or if dc went and made a header thats gonna make some actual power...

if it does, for 240$, thats alot cheaper than 400$ from fast fab... and i heard alot of bad shit about af/x neon headers, and gary said it wont be out for a while anyway...

the long tube headers also bypass the stock cat, but i guess u could probably weld in a highflow in the "catback" piping, right?

yes, or just cut the piping 16 1/4, weld the flange on, and poof, cat fits.

****SILVERNT does not condone the use of catylitic converters in any way shape or form, emissions are for hippies!****

back to the topic... whos got this header?
70324, RE: DC sport header?
Posted by Initial DSM, Mar-09-04 07:22 PM
uh nobody.

Ahg, save your peanuts, get a fast fab header and a ERT cat and call it a day imo.
Talonspeed and someone else on this board will be dyno testing it soon anyway.

I've only heard good things about AF/X neon header? :shrug

the only reason these would dyno any better is because its replacing the cat....if u put a cat convert back in then ur back in the same ball-park......

so, which is it? :scratch

the fast fab / afx header is 'long tube'.... extending to the end of the stock cat..

the DC bolts right up to the stock cat

atleast thats my understanding

keep the stock header IMO. that little heat shield is perfectly level - nice place to put your socket set when working on stuff
