i got spark!

i got fuel!

I GOT NO FUCKING COMPRESSION!!!!!!!! why is this? can someone please tell me?

With each comp. check attempt i would get nothing but a needle bounce and randomly i might get a 30 or a 60, but then the next time i might not get any reading. (yes comp gauge works, tested on buddies SRT-4)
are my "total seals" not sealing?
why can i not build compression? i have the howell 8.6:1 (or 8.8, whatever they are).

ive got no helpful codes either.

ive got crane 0014's cams, pt lash adj. and followers, and indy SS valves. timing is good (even if a tooth off i should still be able to build comp, right?)

who put those pistons in by the way? you? machine shop? does the motor start at all?

is the compression gauge the screw on or the plug in? if it is plug in, your sparkplug seals may not be sealed, happened to my buddies car like that and he had very very little compression..

Check your timing.
Are all of the marks ligned up correctly? It could be that your timing is off causing the f*cked compression. But it would need to be WAY off. If it was a little off then you would have wierd idle like me. But still good compression. If your timing is WAY off, then it would cause a problem. My timing has thrown itself off fucking twice, and I have to do it AGAIN. DAMNIT. I was installing the tensioner wrong.

Like turbo said, who did your shortblock? Could be that your rings were gapped improperly.

Here's to hoping there is no valve damage. They can hit each other in addition to hitting a piston...

for what its worth, the engine was sluggish in turning over, it sounded like it didnt have enough juice, so ideally it didnt have enough power to bend rods or hurt pistons.

i hope...

how on earth were the cams in wrong?!

180 deg off. You can't switch the cams, they wouldn't fit.
