I have the rings and as I open the box, the little compartments are labelled as to which rings go where, but I didn't see that until just yesterday. It was a stupid move by me, but too late for that now...

I need to know which order the top 2 rings go in. I have 2 different rings (I can take pics if needed). One is solid black (or coated w/ something). The other appears to have a very similar coating, but has a non-coated (machined?) outer lip. Which one goes on top slot and which goes in the second slot?

ok do either of the rings have little dots on them? look around on the ring for any markings, mainly a dot by the gap. the top ring is sometimes beveled and has a dot on one side to indicate which side is up

Yes.. ring 2 (above) has a small dot on all 4 of them. I knew that meant this side up, but apparently, that means it's the top ring as well?
