69833, Engine smoking, need some opinions

Well my car has 163,000 something miles on it. So its probably just wear and tear but I'm curious. My car never smoked until I changed the intake gasket in january. After that it started smoking at idle. It only smokes when the engine is warm and idling. Well it does after you drive off for a few seconds but mainly at idle. If it is something I did when changing the intake gasket, any clues on what that could have been? I did clean the egr pipe out really really good since it was almost completely clogged up. I looks like its just burning a little oil but it smells like its running really rich, more then usual. My cat is gutted so and has been for a while so I would have noticed it before I did the gasket if it was smoking.
Anyway I'm not sure what else I can be since its kind of sudden I wasn't thinking rings and or valvetrain. Any ideas?

Its a very light grey, it smells really rich but I think its oil. Probably valve stem seals. I just wonder though why didn't it smoke before I changed the gasket? What about that would have caused it to start smoking now?

Increased vacuum perhaps.

I'm still confused on this. I think its valve stem seals. But that still doesn't answer my question as to why it just started smoking after I replaced my intake gasket? The egr pipe was pretty clogged with carbon and I cleaned all of it out, but I doubt its the problem.

Ok, I just put some new ngk's in earlier and noticed a lot of oil on the threads from 2 clyinders. Do you think this can be the cuz of my small amount of oil burning? Guess I just need a new valve cover gasket.
