Ok, I did a compression test
The numbers were
Cyn 1- 185 Cyn 2- 180 Cyn 3- 170 Cyn 4- 180
Now here’s the question, when I did it on cyn 1, I herd this weird ass BEEP BEEEP, when the motor cranked over...it was loud and weird...THE WEIRDEST THING, on that cylinder, that Flanges pipe connected to that cylinder, glows red after revving for a while, and only that Flanges...
wtf is up with it!?
if somthing internal was wrong wouldent the compression be all fu*cked up?
so what is it?

if cylinder number one is glowing red hot then you might be running too lean. typically #1 runns hotter than other...no idea why. compression test only tells you how the rings and valve/valve seats are sealing. a glowing flange is different, anyone else ever seen this.....most of all the headers i have dealt with were ceramic coated.

So why in the world would it glow...?
I was thinking, im not super smart with cars, but I no enough, I was thinking, whenever I decelerate, I hear a gargling, hic-up, misfire type sound, on deceleration...Now I no that’s usually because of an exhaust leak...
Could an exhaust leak be casing the only one glow red flange? I don’t know why would it, but it seems as if they should be related ?

nope that would not cause it.

ok...
so why would only one cyn be making it glow, somthing with the injectors?
i have the accell 310's (to big i no) but still, why would only one glow?
what could cause this???
or couldit be somthing with the header it self?
im baffled?

could the only cause be fuel?

Wait wait wait, you're running larger than stock injectors and you're not turbo? Why?
I would guess your cylinder 1 is running lean because your ecu doesn't understand how to operate the injectors and isn't putting out enough fuel in that cyl. Not sure why that one in particular, maybe that injector has gone bad. I dunno. Put your stock injectors back in and it will probably solve the problem.

becuase we ported the hell out of my head, and im going turbo in 3 more days, so we put the injectors in, like 3 weeks ago, so we just wanted to see how it would run...
once we put on a fuel pump, and fpr, will this help the problem? or the turbo to eat up the fuel, will that help?
but what would make the beep beep sound when the moter cranks over, during the compression test????? on that cyn

You get hotter exhaust temps from running lean, not running too rich. So you're running a ported head and larger injectors without a turbo? Well, like I said before unless i'm dead fuckin wrong your ecu can't run those injectors properly without some kind of piggyback. So with a ported head you're getting more air, if your ecu isn't firing that injector properly it will run the mixture lean, therefore more air+less fuel=hotter exhaust from that port.
That's the only thing I can think of. Are you having any backfire issues? The only other thing I can think of is your sparkplug is gone and whenever the exhaust ports open they are firing raw fuel into your manifold and igniting close to the head heating up your manifold at that spot on that cylinder. If it was missfiring before the beeping noise may be "severe missfire" but I've never heard of a car beeping :shrug

waitewaitewaite....
you said you cant run 310's on a stock ecu? hu?????
half the people boosting over 8 pounds upgraded there injectors, and most of them have a stock ecu... i have never herd a stock ecu cant handle 310's , those are not even that big
if im going to turbo it, of course i need injectors, im going to be boosting 10 pounds, that would be wack on stock injection
but i see what your saying, maybe its not putting enough in there becuase somthing is fucked up with the injector, or the ecu is trippen over somthing...
i am having misfire on DECELERATION, only on DECELERATION....???..??
are they any tests to see if this is the problem

Well I did say I may be wrong :) There is however a point in injector size where the ecu can't run them and you need a piggyback computer to do it. Or am I talking out of my ass? LOL, I dunno.

maybe your just running shit rich and you have afterburn where the #1 cylinder is actually still burning in the header which could explain you decel. backfiring from that unburnt fuel igniting.

Hey good point! Thanks for the info!!!:thumbsup
I tried something today, it didn’t fix the backfire, but I might have fixed the glowing header, because I got rid of the BEEP BEEP in cyn 1 when I did the compression test
I disconnected the cable that went to the injector, tried the test, no BEEP, so it had to be the injector, I plugged it back in snugly, did the test again, no beep...so im guessing the injector wasn’t plugged in all the way so it was not spraying enough fuel, therefore it was glowing :thumbsup

our stock ECu can handle up to 550 CC/min bottom line. there is no info stating it cannot and many people including Bill Hahn have proven it. After burn was a thought but I am not sure...there are so many other variables to weight. What is your overall mixture at the O2? pulling the spark plugs will tell the tale. white plugs means wayyyy to lean. black or sooty plug is too rich. Pull the Bougies and lets see what they say!

hey man thanks for all your help...
ok i pulled them, from the tip, to maybe a half an inch down is dark black on the plug the rest is like new so?

Okay, so I was wrong about the injector size LOL....buy yeah, that's about how much is actually present in the combustion chamber. So it's way too rich. Adding your turbo will solve that. So like the other guy said and I guessed at you're probably getting afterburn inside of your manifold or header, whichever you have.

Are you putting an SFMU in with your turbo kit? May want to just setup your whole fuel system RIGHT NOW. Then you'll be able to adjust it correctly even with the turbo. You'll also have one of the hardest parts of the turbo install done to.
