Long time issue here, i thought i had it under control, but again im smelling gas. I need a final fix! The metal line directly under my fuel filter was snapped off over a year ago by a shitty shop trying to install a new filter, but snapped the line and im stuck repairing it. I need to know exactly how i can go about repairing it. I have a rubber hose/clamps etc right now, and i was told to buy another hose, but a gas resistant one and go about it that way. Is this the correct thing to do or is there something else? Any help is appreciated, and i would appreciate it if you didnt tell me how dangerous or stupid this is..im only asking for help here.

i have no knowledge on the subject, but... my gut would tell me to let a real shop handle it!!! fuel system is not something you want to do "shadetree" !!!!!

i know the procedure when it comes to working with the fuel system, ive replaced the gas tank, fuel pump, fuel filter, injectors, o rings, and the fuel rail, so i know how to handle myself. I just want to know what supplies i need to correct this problem for the last time.

well here is my idea for you Im a boat mechanic and work on fuel setups alot. Well i would look under the car and see if there is a fitting that you can disconnect the bad part of the line from. If there is you could just simply disconnect the bad section go to an autoparts store and buy a new one, and install it.
