Well Im in a position where I have to make a decision soon. The cost is about the same for me to do the rebuild from www.enginelaboftampa.com which is local for me Or get a Crate Motor from www.atk-engines.com and have the swap done. Let me know what you guys think.

unless you have limited funds, why would you do stock swap?

You can get a howell 2.2 rebuilt motor for only about $100.00 more, and on the howell you can choose the compression you want. I don't know if those guys have anything similar or not since they don't have much info available.

I thought I was the only one who lived in tampa here. Engine lab does really good jobs from what I hear from my friends. I would rebuild, less of a hassle.
