depends on your goals, 2 inch is stock and 2.25 is a nice upgrade. 2.5 is good for a mid-highly modded N/A. With my upgrade/mods id still run a 2.25, you really dont need alot of flow if you dont have the supporting mods. Think of it this way, without an intake its almost pointless to open up the exhaust, number one it wont sound good AT ALL and number two you have to go in order for mods! Im just rambling..dont pay any attention to me

yeah I have a cold air intake and added a BIG ass K&N filter(which I felt the most gain out of). Just got the header but need to install.I already have a performance muffler and want the custom piping to put that on....so thats the plan but I'm thinkin 2.25 also.....ANY other opinions???

go with the 2.5 because if you take it to a muffler shop, they mostly used crushed piping, not mandrel bent piping. hope this helps. i got custom exhaust and it is 2 1/4 and i didn't really notice a difference. now i am buying the greddy evo

Give us more info. What are you planning? Ar eyou going to build the motor for NA? Ever plan on installign cams? Run 2.5"
If you want bolt ons and never to really touch the engine itself, 2.25" is fine.
